Local activities

There are many local activities in Bequia, including visiting beaches, exploring museums and learning about the island's history. Below are a few options, however, we endevour to keep adding more as there are lots to do!

Beach

Enjoy the white sand and clear waters at Princess Margaret Beach, which is great for snorkeling and swimming. Lower Bay Beach is a family-friendly spot for swimming, kayaking and snorkeling.

Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary

Learn about the endangered hawksbill turtle at this sanctuary that offers daily kid-friendly tours.

Diving and snorkeling

Bequia has around 24 dive sites and two dive shops, with a variety of marine life, including reefs, wrecks and wall dives. You can find various centres via this link: http://surl.li/apjdek

Bar One Bequia

Fantastic floating bar with friendly staff, great drinks, good music, beautiful sunsets and just a must-visit kinda place. Oh and the owner will come pick you up and drop you off in a dinghy.

Friendship Rose Sailing Schooner

Join the crew of the historic trading schooner and relax whilst the chef and crew look after you. Watch for flying fish, turtles, dolphins and whales.

Bequia Golf Club

Enjoy the beauty of Bequia while improving your short game of golf on this eco friendly, low maintenance 9 hole, par 3, cross-country golf course. Designed by local resident Lennart Freeman.

Fort Hamilton

Visit the remains of this 18th-century fort for panoramic views of the island.

Bequia Maritime Museum

Explore Bequia's maritime history and the lives of indigenous people at the Bequia Heritage Museum.

The Wall

This Bequia dive site is inhabited by corals and schools of smaller fish.

Firefly Estate Bequia

Tour this working plantation that dates back to 1789.

Mt Peggy Hike

Duration: 2-3 hours
Awesome hike. A bit strenuous at times. Get explicit directions to the trail head. It's not obvious where it starts or goes. Outstanding views at the top.

Devil's Table

A secluded spot that's accessible by boat or kayak, and known for its diving, dramatic cliffs, and clear waters.
