If you are looking for traditional, luxury Caribbean accommodation with home comforts, Fortress J in Bequai is the perfect place to stay.
The first thing I loved about the property is opening the door to the most beautiful hallway, high ceilings and floor to ceiling hand crafted doors, which framed the incredible views of Spring bay. The house benefits from spacious living areas with plenty of places to relax. The balcony has the most incredible view in my opinion the best on the island.
All bedrooms have a/c or open the doors to the warm Caribbean breeze, the beds are very comfortable and rooms are spotless. The kitchen was very well equipped, if you wish to cook and dine. There's a lovely private courtyard garden with palm trees and a pool.
We loved our stay at Fortress as we felt very safe and the house benefits from being very private. I would highly recommend a stay here, you will not be disappointed.

I was immediately taken with Fortress J and the stunning views of the bay, situated in a quiet spot in the hillside.
If you are looking for something special you have it in Fortress J. You are immediately taken by its well designed and comfortable rooms which are kept traditional and homely!
The house is very well equipped with all that you need - a home from home!
Fortress J is a short ride away from the colourful port with its many fresh stalls, supermarket, bank, chemist, bars and great restaurants.
I highly recommend Fortress J and all the island of Bequia has to offer.

Jackie is a very special host who made us feel welcomed, comfortable and excited to experience Bequia’s beauty and culture. The house is a treasure. Five balconies! The private courtyard with a pool. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. Huge dining room table for group dinners. Never wanted to leave!

We had a wonderful stay at Fortress J, immersed in lush, peaceful surroundings with a sea view to die for!
We were very impressed with the accommodation…beautiful, spacious and very clean and offers everything you need, including a small but very attractive poole area.
There are two lovely terraces, perfect for dining or just chilling, whilst you soak up that amazing view!
The location was perfect for us, completely private (part of the Firefly Estate) but only a few minute’s drive from all the amenities and venues in Port Elizabeth.
